Biography
Originally from Apex, North Carolina, Ciara Gazaway (she, her, hers) completed her undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and recently graduated from UT's College Student Personnel program. During her time at UT, she has served as the Graduate Assistant in the Pride Center, an Academic Advisor in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, and other leadership roles in the Division of Student Life. She currently serves as the Bias Education Coordinator in the Dean of Students Office. Ciara is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and the persistence and success of underrepresented populations in higher education.
Hobbies and Interests: Social justice activism, cosmetology, suspenseful Netflix dramas, finding new foods to put avocado on, and spending time with loved ones.
