Amanda Mason

Biography

Amanda Mason is currently the Northwest Tennessee Regional ACCESS Coach with the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and works in partnership with the State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) Access for All initiative with the Special Population’s division of the Tennessee Department of Education. Amanda has formerly taught early childhood special education, kindergarten through fourth grade inclusion, and led professional development promoting inclusive environments. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from the University of Tennessee Martin, and Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Amanda chose to pursue a Doctor of Education degree from UTK to refine and grow the skills necessary to lead districts and the state in policy changes and organizational development which empowers educators to create inclusive environments that promote access for all students.
