Biography

Kathryn Lutton earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English Education from Ball State University in 2004 and her Master of Science in Education Administration from the University of Tennessee in 2013. After eight years as an English teacher in Knox County Schools, Ms. Lutton entered administration in 2012, serving as an assistant principal in two high schools. In 2016, she was appointed as Principal of Holston Middle School in Knox County, where she currently works.  Her research interests include teacher mentoring and retention, effects of district-level rezoning, and creating positive culture within schools.
