Biography

Anne McKendry is currently a Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Coach for the central office of the School District of Philadelphia. Anne has previously held positions as a 8th grade English Language Arts teacher, and School-Based Teacher Lead, overseeing instruction and operations, within the School District of Philadelphia. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Education at Duquesne University and her Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Holy Family University. Anne chose to pursue a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville to continue her research in fostering positive school climates in urban districts; in order to one day be a district leader specializing in the turnaround of at-risk schools.
