In addition to the 9 hours of core requirements, honors students complete a 3 hour ethics in leadership course. Non-honors students complete 3 hours of electives from an approved list. Approved electives taken prior to admission may be accepted toward completion of the minor. In addition to coursework and portfolio requirements for each term, the program includes social, civic, and academic engagement activity requirements.

Students may also petition for a course not on this list to be accepted as an elective by the program if the meets the LSM programs learning objectives: 1) leadership, 2) intercultural competency, 3) ethical decision-making skills, and 4) communication skills.
