“Lunch & Learn” Professional Development Series

The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS), in collaboration with the Post-secondary Education Research Center (PERC) and the UT System Office of Academic Affairs and Student Success, sponsors a “Lunch & Learn” series for ELPS graduate students.

Purpose

  1. To provide an opportunity for graduate students to engage with and learn from UT faculty and administrators as they consider future faculty and administrative roles.
  2. To familiarize graduate students with critical issues in higher education that will help them succeed in current and future roles.

Audience

The primary audience is graduate students studying Higher Education Administration, Educational Administration, and College Student Personnel. Faculty from the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, staff from the UT System Office of Academic Affairs and Student Success, prospective graduate students, and other staff and administrators may also be in attendance.

Format

Each “Lunch & Learn” session will last one hour. Session format is up to the presenter, though if presenters choose a more formal approach to the session, we ask that at least 20 minutes be left for questions and discussion. The room will be equipped with a computer and projector in case that is needed. Staff and students who are not on campus will have the option to connect via Zoom.
