Executive Council


The President shall:
Plan and facilitating regular CSPA executive and group meetings. Manage the organizational email account. Co-coordinate the Professional Mentor program. Meet continuously with the program coordinator to ensure effective and efficient programming and partnering within the program. Serve as the co-chair for the Professional Development Committee.

Serve as the chair for the Graduate Hooding Committee. Serve as first student appointment to any University of Tennessee committees with intersecting interests. Serve as an aid to all other executive team members. Appoint alternative CSPA Executive to duties unable to perform.


The Vice President of Recruitment shall:
Coordinate recruitment programming (e.g. Visit Days, panel discussions, etc.) for prospective students. Serve as the chair for the Recruitment Weekend Committee. Serve as an executive member of the Incoming Student Committee. Serve as one of the CSPA student representatives on the Recruitment Weekend Planning Committee. Serve as a point of contact for students interested in the CSP program by providing communication. Serve as an aide to all other executive team members. Appoint alternative CSPA Executive to duties unable to perform.


The Vice President for Finance and Membership (VPFM) shall:
Maintain and present on the budget for the organization. Collect dues and any other monies necessary. Maintain the appropriate records for membership status including a database of members that should be updated semesterly. Provide information to all members of CSPA university funding resources. Responsible for coordinating CSPA purchases (e.g., materials, programming, swag). Create one fundraising opportunity per semester, that requires participation for active members. Serve as an aid to all other executive team members. Appoint alternative CSPA Executive to duties unable to perform.


The Vice President for Alumni & Public Relations (VPAPR) shall:
Compile alumni accolades for the VPC. Serve as the co-chair of the Professional Development Committee. Plan/host at least one alumni event (virtual or in-person)
Communicate with the CSP Coordinator about Development funding opportunities. Make a semesterly alumni newsletter in conjunction with the VP for Communications. Co-coordinate the Professional Mentor program. Serve as an aid to all other executive team members. Appoint alternative CSPA Executive to duties unable to perform.

The Vice President of Communications shall:
Maintain and updating all CSPA social media accounts. Assist the CSP program with updating the CSPA portion of the CSP Website. Make a semesterly alumni newsletter in conjunction with the VP for Alumni Relations. Create or coordinate all communications for programming (e.g., Interview Weekend, Visit Days, workshops, etc.). Serve as the chair for the Communications Committee. Serve as an aid to all other executive team members. Appoint alternative CSPA Executive to duties unable to perform.

The Vice President of Undergraduate Relations (VPUR) shall:
Serve as the advisor for the Aspiring Student Affairs Professionals (ASAP), the student organization for undergraduate students interested in a career in Student Affairs upon graduation.. Coordinate efforts between the Division of Student Life and NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) to recruit and market to ASAP members. Assist ASAP members in locating information, mentors, and valuable resources regarding graduate programs and the profession of student affairs
Facilitate partnership opportunities between CSPA and ASAP (e.g., Careers in Student Affairs Month in October). Serve as the chair of the Undergraduate Relations Committee. Serve as an aid to all other executive team members. Appoint alternative CSPA Executive to duties unable to perform.


The Vice President for Community Development (VPCD) shall:
Plan at least two (2) social events per semester. Advise social programming coming out of committees. Plan end of semester social celebration for the graduating cohort
Coordinate graduate reception at CSP Hooding for graduates and their families. Coordinate the CSPal peer mentoring program. Serve as the chair of the Social Committee. Serve as an aid to all other executive team members. Appoint alternative CSPA Executive to duties unable to perform.
