The Orin Graff Scholarship is a substantial monetary award that is available to students pursuing the doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Recipients must be in full-time residency at the University of Tennessee while they pursue the terminal degree. Criteria for this award include evidence of the following qualities: (1) excellence in scholarship, (2) sensitivity to current social problems, and (3) a high degree of leadership potential. This award can be granted for up to two years.

Nicole Wilson Nicole Wilson graduated from East Tennessee University with a degree in K-8 Elementary Education in 2000. In the spring of 2006, she received a Master’s Degree of in Educational Administration and Supervision from The University of Tennessee. Working in three school systems she taught third grade, first grade, and kindergarten, and coordinated a federal grant in an urban school. Responsibilities related to the grant consisted of coaching teachers on classroom management strategies, working as a literacy coach, planning and facilitating school-wide parent education sessions, and maintaining state and federal requirements. She then worked as a Curriculum Instructional Facilitator working with three elementary schools. In 2008-2009, she was employed as an elementary coach in Knox County consulting with teachers on instructional strategies and classroom management and providing workshops. |

Ginger Teague received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in 1980 and her Masters of Arts from Tennessee Tech in 2005. Ginger spent her first eight years teaching middle school in Knoxville. Since 1991, she has been a classroom teacher for Maryville City Schools, first at John Sevier Elementary and then at Maryville Intermediate School. She has had the privilege of serving on the vision and design team for the development of the intermediate school concept in Maryville. For the last twelve years, Ginger has served as a Tribes trainer for elementary and middle school teachers. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate in the ELPS programs. |
