  An introductory statistics course that focuses on the application of statistical procedures to proglems in educational administration. Included are: scales of measurement, hypothesis testing, an descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Computer applications are explored. (Same as Higher Education Administration 614).

  The foundations of designing, conductin, and evaluating quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research an the philosophical assumptions underlying these approaches. Topics covered include: identifying a research problem, reviewing the literature, specifying a purpose, writing research questions and hypotheses, and collecting an analyzing data.
