Membership

Membership in CSPA is available to students in an alumni of the CSP program by application process and payment of the $50 fee per academic year or $30 per semester.

By becoming a member of CSPA you can take advantage of many exciting benefits. Some of these benefits are listed below.

• You will have the opportunity to create mentoring and networking relationships with the Student Affairs Staff and Faculty of the Program.
• You will be connected to Alumni of the CSP Program who are in the field that can provide you with practical advice and guidance.
• You will have the opportunity to create meaningful and supportive relationships with your peers through academic and social events.
• You will be able to to take advantage of professional development programs designed to expose you to the "real world of student affairs".

Organization Sponsored Programs and Initiatives:

CSPA sponsors many annual events, professional development programs, and social activities.

• Annual Events: CSPA sponsors three annual events for current and prospective students. CSPA coordinates the Recruitment and Interview Weekend for prospective students in February, an Orientation Program for newly admitted students in August, and a reception and ceremony for graduating students in May.
• Professional Development Programs: CSPA recognizes the importance of offering professional development opportunities to its members. Some of the programs include practicum fairs, resume and interviewing workshops, and a breakfast series with faculty and/or administration.
• Social Events: CSPA sponsors many social activities throughout the year, these can be strictly social in nature or combined with an element of community service. Some of the past social events have included football tailgates, hiking in the Smokies, campus clean-up, attending local events like "Sundown in the City", themed socials, volunteering at Boo at the Zoo, and Evenings on "The Strip".
